KappaTalk Meet 2 is Another KappaTalk Success.
KappaTalk members, actives and alumni, Brothers from Kappa Delta Phi and Sisters from Kappa Delta Phi National Affiliated Sorority perform community service and have a social.
It was a hot time at the Old Town YMCA.
The KT Meet of `08 brought 30 brothers and sisters from 15 chapters across New England to Old Town, Maine for a large scale philanthropy event that involved giving a fresh coat of paint to several of the YMCA’s large meeting rooms.
Members of Kappa Delta Phi, Inc. and Kappa Delta Phi, NAS took part in the event, held on Sept. 27.
“These rooms encompass the child care program of the YMCA,” said Taryn Beaumont of Kappa Lambda chapter, who organized the project with Samm Stewart of Kappa Eta chapter. “Brothers and sisters devoted their time and energy to this project throughout the day, climbing on ladders and painting everything from walls to bulletin boards to cubbies to make the YMCA look brand new.”
Said Samm: “As brothers and sisters of Kappa Delta Phi, Inc and Kappa Delta Phi, NAS, we pride ourselves on performing philanthropy events such as these, as it is the foundational element on which our organization is built.”
The event was followed by a social event hosted by Jennifer "Veggie" D'Appollonio at her home in Howland, ME. A great time was had by all!
A warm thanks is also extended to YMCA of Old Town for allowing us into their home and supporting us in this project. For more information on the Old Town YMCA, or for information on services offered, please visit: http://www.otoymca.org/

Our sisters at Kappa Omicron participate in The Fall Foliage Parade
Kappa Delta Phi National Affiliated Sorority, Kappa Omicron Chapter at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, participated in The Fall Foliage Parade on Sunday Oct. 4th, one of the Berkshire’s biggest parades, this year the theme was “Salute to Sports’ Fans” and KO showed their black and gold spirit to the fullest.
The parade conjugated national marching teams, local sport themes, recreational clubs and many other important organizations not only from the Berkshires but from outer states as well. It was a local televised event in which KO appeared proudly saluting to its fans. The Parade was populated by the entire town of North Adams, as they aligned along the streets to watch the entertaining event. This is the first time in many years since KO was able to participate, many townies were happy to see them back in the community doing good deeds. It was an overwhelming feeling of excitement in which KO proudly showed everyone that true spirit never dies.
